Gabrielle Walker and David King, The Hot Topic : How to Tackle Global Warming and Still Keep the Lights On. Orlando, Fla. : Harcourt, 2008 xi + 276 pages : illustrated; map; includes bibliographical references and index.
This book is extremely well written. It spells out clearly the issues of global warming, in a way everyone can understand. No jargon, no spin, just clear facts and evidence. Once you've read this book, you can be in no doubt that we need to act now.
It also explores what each nation is or isn't doing to tackle the issues. And of course there is a section on practical ways we can do our bit to help, including lobbying our MP's and MEP's [or Representatives and Senators, in the US].
Highly recommended.
