This online resource is a collection of articles on topics that expose and document attacks on science, largely through presenting the positive work and words of scientists, science supporters, and science advocates. Our goal is not to antagonize, cajole, inveigle, or nag. Rather, our desire is to invite everyone to discover the excitement and value of science, and to learn how to enjoy it.

Ars Hermeneutica's organizing mission includes doing all we can to educate the public about the goals, methods, and results of science, engineering, and mathematics. The Science Besieged Project is an expression of that commitment.
