Tyrannosaurus Rex @ Royal Tyrell Museum (Explore # 322 May 21st 2013)

"Oh no we are being attacked by an undead dinosaur!" is what some of you may have thought upon viewing this image!

Not to worry, it is totally safe, it has been dead for millennium!

This amazing, towering skeleton is one of many to be found at the awesome Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta, about an hour and a half north of Calgary.

The dinosaur you see here is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, whose name literally translates to "King of the Tyrant Lizards" and was the apex predator of its era.

There have been a whole ton of fossils discovered in Alberta and this awesome museum showcases a ton of them; I must have taken around 500 photos in the hour and a half it took us to tour this place!

There will definitely be more shots from this place to come!

Have an excellent Tuesday, my friends!

Very cool!
