Amber-disk image and fluorescence
A clouded amber disk (6 x 1.5 cm) set in coated metal with red 'stones'. The two images show the disk in white (left) and 368nm LED UV light. The spectra above show the fluorescence of the amber (thick dark green) and a red 'stone' under 404nm laser excitation. The thinner lines show the transmission of the disk (green) and a red 'stone' (orange).
I assume the red 'stones' are paste (glass) but I have not seen this near-infrared fluorescence spectrum from glass before.
