"William Comstock began to manufacture patent medicine in Brockville in 1854 ... His firm produced Dead Shot Worm Pellets, McKenzie's Dead Shot Worm Candy, and most famous of all, Dr. Morris's Indian Root Pills. [His] strongest local competition [was] George T. Fulford, who made Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People."
