Amber (Baltic) fluorescence
Images:
Left: White (6500k) light
Middle: 368nm LED
Right: 404nm laser
Some interesting things going on here. Note the surface blue fluorescence (middle image). The laser (right) penetrates the amber and produces a yellow fluorescence similar in colour to that seen in white light. The intrinsic laser-excited fluorescence could be blue but internally absorbed by the amber.

The 254nm-excited fluorescence (purple line) is very faint.
