And away she goes!
One of the interns releases the female shark on the other side of the causeway (Where she won't be recaptured by the net) measured, sexed, and safe. She is holding on gently to make sure the shark is recovered from the ordeal and able to swim strongly away. All told the encounter lasted just under 5 minutes. 4 minutes and 42 seconds to be exact. These researchers clearly care about the sharks; working efficiently and fast to get the data and get the shark back in it's natural environment.
