Leopard Shark ready for measuring
Time to sex and measure this gorgeous leopard shark (Triakis semifasciata) then release it to the other side the road. I was impressed with how quickly they got all the measurements and how short a time the shark was out of the slough, and even shorter amount of time out of water at all. The research is needed to document and understand differential habitat use in the slough by age and gender and then protect (if needed) key areas.
