Event horizon?

A 404nm laser shining through a cut-glass tumbler onto white laser-printer paper (which fluoresces due to the whitener). This produces an almost infinite set of caustic patterns. Try looking at the full-size version.
This version is inverted and converted to greyscale.
An example of complex, highly monochromatic, diffraction patterns.
