Dutch Boy white lead
A nice old tin of Dutch Boy white lead (PbCO3)2·Pb(OH)2. The paste in this container was 89% white lead, 9% linseed oil, 2% turpentine. Some paints contained up to 50% lead by weight before it was banned in the US in 1978 due to the risk of lead poisoning.
