Castle Life - The Training Grounds

Taken in another favorite area of mine in the Glenbow Museum, this part is like an interactive castle area, where you can walk through and see dioramas of what castle life was like, filled with interactive exhibits and displays.

I always get filled with child-like glee and excitement when going through this part of the museum, I just love medieval culture and armor and swords, it's all so cool!

The area depicted here was presumably a slice of life of what might be happening in a courtyard type area of a medieval castle, with weapon training, a woman working on her crops in a patch of soil, and a Knight riding by in the background.

I particularly love the ivy and flowers creeping up the wall, as well as the detail in the stonework!
