Today's Unpleasantness

I was out in the backyard for about half an hour, and found this tick crawling on my hand.It apparently was clinging to some chives growing in a wheelbarrow. I marveled at how effortlessly it clung to me as I tried to brush it off...then I picked it off and squished it.Because of the very mild winter, the ticks are supposed to be really numerous this year.
