Temple of the Seven Dolls III

The "Temple" had evident astronomical significance : on the equinoxes the sunrise is visible directly through the largeer "doors" in the front & back of the structure.

From the Mayan ruins at Dzibilchaltun (Yucatán, Mexico), dating from c. 500 BC.
