Zygadenus elegans
The white camus, a superb flower of the Canadian Rockies. And slightly poisonous.
Just read that the new Rules of Botanical Nomenclature were put into effect and botanists no longer have to write a description in Latin. As a real traditionalist I can tell you nevertheless how much this stifled my botanical work, so I offer up this photo of a wonderful flower to commemorate an end to one particular poisonous obstacle to scientific expression.
