Calcite pink luminescence
A sample of slightly pink (manganese) calcite with a small zig-zag zone that fluoresces pink/orange. The spectrum (in red) is compared with apatite and an unidentified crystal (red_fl - another calcite?). This zone is being illuminated from the right by a 404nm laser.
Replaced by version with revised flux calibration (#5), November 2012.
