Explorations & Curiosities

Golden Nature Guides from my personal collection. Scanning the covers just doesn't do justice to these inspirational books. The three titles on the bottom row are my childhood copies. The "Weather" guide was a thrift store find. The rock hammer was mine as a child.

The other elements include manzanita wood from California, a twist of cedar from the texas hill country, shells from Hawai'i, rock samples from the Mojave desert, and an opossum jawbone from the park down the street from my house. The trilobite cast is a thrift store find and the vintage compass is a gift from my husband.
