Phenylalanine

A numbered amino acid and part of a larger model of a protein molecule. The model was one of the first ever that showed the 3-dimensional structure of a protein. The ring section in white represents the phenyl ring of amino acid phenylalanine - From the work of Brian Matthews Lab, University of Oregon
