Desert-amethyst fluorescence 404nm excitation

Shining a 20mW 404nm laser beam into a glass insulator which as been exposed to many years of desert sunlight producing 'colour centres'. The left image has been exposed through a yellow filter to remove the blue laser light. The secondary beams are reflections from the inner surface of the glass.
