Conical Hail... 3/23/11, with accidental springtail hitchhiker

Most of the hail from the first of the day's two severe storms was in this unusual shape.It looked like white candy corn.Most stones were 1/2 to 3/4 inch in their longest dimension.This is one of the larger ones. Note the growth zones in the tip...
