Fixed End Reflection

A wave machine is used to demonstrate fixed end reflection. A pulse is introduced into the left side of the medium. As depicted by this sequence photography image, it reaches the right end of the medium and reflects back towards the left. Upon reflection, the crest inverts and becomes a trough. Inversion occurs in the case of free end reflection.
