Messier 57 (Ring Nebula)

My first successful nebula capture. This is what happens when a star the size of our sun runs out of fuel - The outer shells of the star are expelled, leaving a smaller white drawf star in the center. Note that this isn't a supernova, those are much more violent.

18x110seconds with a C8 and a DBK, stacked and processed in MaxImDL with further processing in photoshop.

I still need a proper cooled CCD...
