Chaos on a Leaf Surface

Well, here's the story... I was planning to take images of a fresh wet mount of a Tradescantia epidermis peel. The plant resides in the botany lab but the microscope is in the basement, so I prepared the slide in the lab and put it into the slide box with the others to carry it downstairs. Unfortunately, the cover slip got stuck to the lid of the box I was carrying the slides in so when I opened the box the sample was pretty much ruined. I put it back together as best as I could without having brought forceps but the epidermis was now folded into several layers with air bubbles and mesophyll trapped in between and I couldn't find a good area to take the pictures I wanted. But when I switched to DIC, it turned into something rather artistic, so I took some pictures anyway. *LOL* This one was taken with the 10x objective on an Olympus IX81 microscope.
