Green Pear 3115

"Plant plums for yourself, apples for your children, and pears for your grandchildren." Well it's not exactly true anymore, what with dwarf varieties and modern breeding, but for a few thousand years keeper pears were a major source of late-winter nutrition in Europe and the Mediterranean. An interesting link I found while doing a little research on pears: ancient pears.
