OSDC optical pyrotechnics

Students, staff, and faculty participating at the University of Oregon / Oregon Center for Optics (OCO) Optical Science Discovery Camp (OSDC) use a fresnel lens and sunlight to pop popcorn. This camp, supported by funds from the National Science Foundation, was designed to engage young women in the wonders of physics and optics.
