Dust Storm Approaching Spearman, Texas (1935)

The "dust bowl" was a period throughout the 1930 that afflicted the prairies of North America with severe drought and fierce dust storms. In this dramatic photograph a violent dust storm is seen bearing down on the town of Spearman, Texas.
