2. (a.) bright; intense; brilliant: said of colors, light, etc.,; (b.) brightly colored a vivid tapestry

I think dictionaries should have to have pictures signifying an example for each word. I nominate this one for this word, and think I'll start my own dictionary! I can already think of a person I'd post for obsequious for example!
