Layers of History - Capitol Reef

The land here tells a story, and each rock layer represents a chapter. I can't recommend this park highly enough--well worth the detour from the more traveled parks like Bryce and Arches / Canyonlands. Some of the wildest, most isolated country in the Lower 48 is found right here.
