Santiago Calatrava was inspiring in a wave reef for the design of this singular building. The work is undoubtedly a symbol of the city of Santa Cruz of Tenerife, Canary Island, Spain.

The majestic work of composes of a series of curved volumes, in that there stands out over the central body the form of the dome of concrete. This enormous dome of is placed nothing less than to 50 meters of height on the low square that surrounds it.

Calatrava indicates us the access to the principal hall by means of two enormous arches placed on a staggered platform. The fascinating building, which is entirely redressed in the technology of the trencadís original of Gaudí, a broken technology for the surface coating, has turned into an authentic architectural icon for the city.

When one photographs an architectural work of this type, it becomes indispensable to catch persons or vehicles with which we could compare in question the work to coming out in photographs. Thus, we will know in what dimensions we move.

Santiago Calatrava se inspiraba en una ola rompiente para el diseño de este singular edificio. La obra es, sin lugar a dudas, todo un símbolo de la ciudad de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Islas Canarias, España.

La majestuosa obra se compone de una serie de volúmenes curvos, en el que sobresale por encima del cuerpo central la forma curva de la cúpula de hormigón. Esta enorme cúpula se encuentra situada nada menos que a 50 metros de altura sobre la plaza inferior que la rodea.

Calatrava nos indica el acceso al hall principal mediante dos arcos enormes situados sobre una plataforma escalonada. El fascinante edificio, que está enteramente revestido con la técnica del trancadís, una técnica quebrada para el revestimiento de superficies originaria de Gaudí, se ha convertido en un auténtico icono arquitectónico para la ciudad.

Cuando se fotografía una obra arquitectónica de este tipo, se hace indispensable captar personas o vehículos con los que podamos comparar la obra en cuestión a fotografiar. De este modo, sabremos en qué dimensiones nos movemos.
