Fluvial: Complexity from Simplicity
I'm fascinated by emergent patterns created by water's effect on the landscape. Much like fractals, a simple action gives birth to complexity and the process reproduces itself at so many scales.
This close-up shot of tiny rivulets on a beach, generated by the outgoing tide, bear many similarities to images of vast riverbed planes as viewed all the way from the International Space Station.
