Parodia spp., Baltimore, MD
A potted Parodia cactus at the Baltimore City Conservatory.
The conservatory, also known as the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory, is located in Druid Hill Park and was built in 1888. Its collection includes a large collection of tropical plants, desert plants and a beautiful palm house.
This Parodia cactus was labeled "Spp." which is the abbreviation for "species" and refers to all species in that given genus partiularly when the specific species is unknown but the genus is certain.
