Everglades National Park, FL - Flamingo - American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus)

The American crocodile of southern Florida is still on the endangered list, though the population has increased above 500 and may be as much as 1200. American crocodiles can be distinguished from American alligators by their longer, more narrow snouts and by their lower teeth, which are visible even when the crocodile's mouth is closed.
