Green and pink tourmaline, visible-IR transmission

The approximate transmission paths are:
Pink: 6.8mm
Green:6.0mm

The broad absorption band centred at 720nm that colours the green and blue crystals is due to iron (Fe2+). This is very weak in the pink stone.
