Haddy the Hadrosaurus in Haddonfield, New Jersey
In 1838 John Estaugh Hopkins digging in a marl pit in Haddonfield, New Jersey uncovered large bones. In 1858 a whole skeleton was discovered; this was Hadrosaurus, the first
dinosaur discovered in North America.
Hadrosaurus was named the New Jersey state fossil in 1994.
