Sumerian Linear Measure
An interesting system that seemed to use multiples of 3 and 4 fingers. I notice it is
It is divided as
3 Parmak, 4 Parmak
12 Parmak (3*4)
14 Parmak (3+3+4+4)
1 Ayak = 16 Parmak (4*4)
1 Arşın = 60 Parmak (3*4*5)
Total Length = 64 Parmak = (4*4*4)
There must have been a pretty good mathematician in the temple.
1 Parmak (Finger) = 1.727 cm
1 Ayak(Foot) = 16 Fingers = 27.65 cm
1/2 Arşın =30 Fingers = 51.8 cm
